About the Installation

This 20-foot classical-style labyrinth was designed and built by Beatriz Giraldo and David as a permanent outdoor installation in May 2012. Crafted for reflection and peace, it’s nestled in a natural setting, using rock and garden materials that complement the surrounding landscape. Though not wheelchair accessible, the space offers a grounded and meaningful experience for those who visit by appointment.

What is the Purpose of a Labyrinth?

A labyrinth is a walking meditation tool designed to quiet the mind, open the heart, and encourage reflection. Unlike a maze, it has no tricks or dead ends—just a single path leading inward and back out again. Walking a labyrinth invites a journey of self-discovery, grounding, and clarity. It symbolizes life’s journey, offering a sacred space for setting intentions, releasing burdens, or simply being present. As you move through its winding path, the experience becomes a gentle rhythm of movement and stillness, echoing the natural flow of life. It’s both a spiritual and healing practice, accessible across cultures and beliefs.
